1. Inspect The Home Perimeter

Before we look at your roof, we’ll walk the whole perimeter of your home and inspect the gutters, fence, garage door, fascia, windows, window screens, AC unit, and more. We also assess your ventilation intake to ensure you have proper ventilation balance per your city's IRC code. Each of these can be an indicator of your roof’s health. If roof damage has caused harm to other portions of the house, those damages can be assessed as part of the insurance claim.

2. Inspect The Roof

We’ll get on your roof and look at the shingles, ventilation exhaust vents, wall/chimney flashing, chimney, and more. We’re looking for hail damage, thermal cracking, missing shingles, signs of water damage, rot, and other damages that could put your roof, your home, and your family at risk. We also access your attic to better assess decking type, decking issues, AC and gas connection points, and general attic layout to better assess ventilation calculations.

If any damages have occurred, we’ll take pictures, provide you a link to your CompanyCam file and sit down with you to discuss your options. Sometimes a few simple repairs can add years to your roof’s life. Other times, you need a replacement. However, there are instances in which your roof is in good condition and no additional work is required—this is always the ideal scenario.

3. File An Insurance Claim

If we believe you need a roof replacement, we’ll put together a photo damage report, walk you through how to contact your insurance company, provide your the latest storm date, and any documentation needed to help file your claim. The day of the adjuster inspection, we will be there to help assist the adjuster and discuss their findings. Once your roof is purchased by insurance, we will review the adjuster's loss report/estimate to verify if insurance purchased all the damage items to the property that we originally discussed. Often, we can replace your roof for only the cost of your deductible.

4. Fix Your Roof

Once your roof replacement or repair is approved, we’ll schedule ALL service dates, order ALL materials needed, and have your roof fixed or installed at your convenience. Roof replacements and repairs usually only take one day or less to complete.

WHEN SHOULD YOU GET YOUR ROOF INSPECTED?

Some roof damage is obvious. Other damages are only noticeable by a trained roofing inspector. So how do you know that your roof needs to be inspected? The simple answer is that it never hurts to get your roof inspected at least once a year. But there are a few signs to look for that may indicate that it’s time for an inspection:

• You see visible roof damage
• Shingles are torn or missing
• There’s debris on the roof
• You notice water spots or leaks in your ceiling
• Your gutters are clogged
• A severe storm has occurred recently
• Your roof is over 10 years old
